OPERATION FREEDOM RIDE
Founded in 2018, Operation Freedom Ride is a nonprofit animal rescue based in Rochester, NY, dedicated to saving the lives of dogs and cats in need. Our mission is rooted in a heartbreaking reality: every year, 2.7 million adoptable dogs and cats are euthanized in the United States. We are committed to helping these loving animals find the right person to care for and cherish them.
Our Work
Our work began out of a deep passion to address this issue and the joy of witnessing the incredible bonds created between rescued animals and their new families. We rescue dogs and cats locally from shelters, owner surrenders, strays, and anyone in need, while also transporting animals from overcrowded kill shelters in the South to safety.
As a 100% foster-based organization, we do not operate a shelter; instead, our animals are housed in loving foster homes until they are adopted. We are entirely volunteer-run and rely completely on donations to continue our lifesaving work.
